Mission Statement

Rad Residents 2020September 19, 2017-5.jpg

Our mission is to provide a comprehensive and in-depth Residency training program; free of health care disparities; providing education in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology. We strive to develop and prepare well-rounded and highly competent Radiologists who will pursue advanced Fellowship training pathways leading to careers both in academics and private practice. The program seeks to increase Residents' understanding of population health and disease pathologies acknowledging the latest evidence-based   research. Overall, the program teaches the Resident to function as an effective consultant in support of their clinical colleagues; demonstrating how to manage, care for, and communicate with patients. Our Diagnostic Radiology department shares the commitment of our Hospital's delivery of excellent essential medical care, and disease and lifestyle management to everyone, at every stage of life. We want to make health care more accessible, affordable, and patient-friendly for young families, hardworking singles, and seniors with growing health care needs. We strive to be a national model of what a state-of-the-art public hospital and community health care system should be. We are working hard to be a model of accessibility and cultural sensitivity, while providing advanced Resident education.
